On the day of the flight, we are more than happy to also organize your transfer to the airport. Once you arrive at the airport you are required to check-in at the terminal shortly before departure. From time to time it happens that an aircraft is only booked for a certain route as a one-way flight. Once at the destination, the aircraft and our pilots have to return to their home airport. This return flight without passengers is an empty flight or a so-called empty leg.
There are various types of empty legs, for example when a flight from Berlin to Zurich has been booked, but the plane is still in Cologne and first has to be flown to Berlin. In this case, the flight from Cologne to Berlin would also be an empty leg.
Empty Legs are not uncommon - on the contrary, they occur frequently and are an excellent opportunity for spontaneous and much cheaper trips.
